As many of you can see, I have been away from the blog for some time. Once again, I am attempting to use this blog as an outlet for my passion and drive in life. Previously, I was using much of the site as a means to market my business; this will continue but with greater emphasis on finding my way in the world of food. Some of my closest friends know that I am all over the board with ideas, and many of them seem to fall short of their expected target. I have tested my luck with bread baking, a mobile pizza oven, small-scale farming, and farm dinners. But, one thing that I have learned over the past few years is that, as a person, I am deeply rooted to food. In an attempt to find who I am in the world of food, I plan to use this blog as an outlet to express my ups and downs throughout my journey. I thank you for time and support and I look forward to your comments.

Our New Farm

Our Heirloom Tomatoes new home
As many of you know, Table 9 is very concerned about the quality of our food and the importance of locally grown product. To keep with our core values we have decided to start our own organic farm. The farm is actually operated and maintained by my beautiful wife Vanessa, she has an overwhelming passion for local food and it's importance with the community.  Table-9 will source a majority of it's food from this farm, this will allow us to provide the highest quality of produce to our diners.  The farm will also be offering a very limited and unique CSA program this year. Ten people will have the opportunity to receive a CSA box once a week for only $15 a month. These ten people will also be required to provide feedback on likes and dislikes with the program. If you are interested in becoming part of this unique opportunity, please send us an e-mail at table-9@live.com

Next Months Dinner ( Sweet....)

I suppose that some people may find this concerning, but Chefs always enjoy the trip to the farm to pick their next meal. This weekend my family and I ventured off to La Conner to pick out our Berkshire swine and discuss logistics with our farmer.
